Why we started ShaftBox
A lot of people ask why we bothered to build ShaftBox. It’s a fair question. There are plenty of options out there for residential VPNs.
But the problem was that none of the options were right for us as individuals.
Unfortunately, what we found was that the vast majority of VPNs on the market are software based, complex, require downloading to all the devices you have (try counting them!), involved configuration, updating…..more time and complexity than any of us have or need.
On top of that they are packed with features that most of us never use, feel cluttered and overwhelming. The more complex software is, the more open it is to vulnerability and hacking, which is definitely not wanted in a system supposed to protect you from that. So we looked for a better solution.
That’s why we started SHAFTBOX the company.
